Today is our last day at home before we leave on our next big adventure! We are heading out tomorrow in Cousin Eddie (the RV) for what should end up being a 3 month trip around the United States! As most of you know the "main event" for this trip is the wedding of our daughter Mary to Tyler Martin on October 9th in Idaho! After much fine tuning (and adjusting our route to reach some cooler temperatures) here is what the first part of our trip looks like:

I'm sure there will be some changes along the way but this should basically be our route. After the wedding we will head south to San Diego and then east to get back home in time for the holidays!
It's exciting and challenging to prepare for a trip of this magnitude. I do keep reminding myself that there will be plenty of Wal Marts, Targets, etc along the way, so no worries if I forget something.
The best news of this blog is that Cousin Eddie is completely put back together! I must say I had my doubts but of course Bob pulled it off and the RV is looking great.

I find under pressure that I work way better if I have a check list. It keeps me focused and feels so good to start crossing things off the list! I just had to share my list from today. This is what a "to do" list looks like the day before a big trip:

Scooby is always a big help while I’m packing:

We have a last minute opportunity to rent out our house for a month to some friends of a friend. While this is great news, I have to admit it has made my day a bit more challenging thinking about someone actually staying in our house! So with my list not quite done, I better sign off for now. Looking forward to the next post coming from somewhere along our route!
